April = yoga, breathing and mindfulness:)

I found this quote earlier today and couldn’t help, but think about my previous blog post and how this relates so much to my current life. Spring is such an amazing time for growth and renewal and I thought what better place to start, is with myself and kiddos.

We LOVE yoga in our house! We have a kids yoga book that I use with the girls, so they can start to learn the poses and it is so fun! The book itself which I have picture below, has amazing pictures and colors, which speaks to any child. It also relates the poses to different animals and gives a little explanation about each animal. The girls love it and it’s so fun to see there faces when they get the pose!

We are also following a great Facebook page called Mindfulness for kids and families, and for the month of April they are posting different yoga poses and breathing exercises for you to try with your family. It is a a great way to get your feet wet into yoga, but also have something great to do as a family. Norah and Hadley truly enjoyed trying the videos. They are only two days in, so you can still start it and do the whole month! Also, there videos are on Youtube as well! I hope you give it a try, yoga is such a great thing for kids, it’s builds flexibility, strength, coordination, an understanding of their body, and the list goes on!:) Happy Spring and Namaste!
